An adult Fennec fox. No, this was not my fox. This was a breeder fox that was not tame. It was in a temporary cage.

This fox was a pet. It's legal to keep fennec foxes as pets in many areas.

Dude, why does everyone immediately jump to the conclusion that it was this stocker's fault the fox looks like that?

The first thing I though of was that maybe this fox was taken in a rescue facility. You see a lot of animals in poor condition in those facilities because they're waiting to be treated.

From the other posts of the same fox, I gather that this picture was taken at a pet store; so in no way was the stocker responsible.

Sheesh people.

it looks really scared and the ears seem way too small for a fennec - they look normal size for its body fennecs ears are huge compared to their body

OH MY GOD! that animal does not look very well taken care of.... poor thing looks horrible, and if you are going to put photos up here of your fox, don't make it look like it is in pain, and/or you are A bad owner.. I am sorry but I must report this image. I love animals and this one looks like it is in pain.
